Shortly after your local, state, or national representatives are elected, you should introduce yourself to them and a letter is a great way to do that!
In your letter, you want to congratulate them on their new (or re-elected) role and then introduce your organization with some highlights on how you serve your community and benefit the local economy. You can also invite them to visit your organization and offer you contact details for any questions they may have. And then close out with a thank you for all the hard work they have done and are going to do for your community.
