The Museum of the Aleutians Association, Inc. a non-profit organization that manages and operates the local museum in Unalaska, AK, seeks a skilled administrator with experience in museum and/or non-profit management. This professional, exempt position has overall responsibility for leadership and management of the museum. The Museum Director reports directly to the MOTA Board of Directors.
The minimum qualifications include: An advanced degree in museum studies or related field; Experience as an administrator or manager in a museum or non-profit organization is desirable; Experience in grant writing and fiscal management, computer skills, public relations skills, and oral and written communication skills; Demonstrate ability to relate to and communicate with culturally diverse communities; and Demonstrate time and project management skills.
