We photograph our collections for a variety of reasons: cataloging, promotion, and condition reporting, just to name a few. In this webinar, join Ann Stegina, Senior Collections Manager of the Anchorage Museum, to learn some budget friendly basic tips to improve your object photography. Topics will include: Equipment, Camera Settings, Lighting, Post-Production and other resources for further learning. DSLR, point and shoot, or camera phone, weβll make it work!
This webinar will be interactive at times in order to best serve the attendants. You may be asked to send in a photo of your photography space or answer questions such as, βWhat equipment do you have? Where do you photograph your objects?β
Ann Stegina recently moved to Alaska to become the senior collections manager at the Anchorage Museum. She started her museum career in 2009 and has worked as the senior collections manager at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and registrar at the South Street Seaport Museum. Ann has a BA from New York University in Anthropology and Spanish. She received her MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She is continuously learning about her new home and is grateful to her colleagues for helping her.
Webinar will be hosted on Zoom. You will receive the webinar link and password via email after your registration is confirmed.
This project is supported by a Grant-In-Aid from the Alaska State Museum, and is made possible through partnership with the Western Museums Association.
