Please consider donating an item (or items!) to Museums Alaska’s auction to support the Donna Matthews Professional Development Fund. The Donna Matthews Professional Development Fund was established in 2005, to honor the work of Donna Matthews, who served as Executive Director of Museums Alaska for over a decade. Of all the aspects of the museum world in Alaska that she loved, she was most devoted to the bringing together of staff and volunteers each year at the annual meeting. This fund provides scholarship money to support individuals attending the Museums Alaska Annual Conference. The auction will be held at the Annual Conference in Nome, September 12-15, 2018.
Each year at the annual conference, Museums Alaska holds an auction to generate funding for the Donna Matthews Professional Development Fund. We ask that you fill out our donation form (below) in advance of the conference, so that we can effectively track donations. Auction items may be mailed in advance of the conference, or brought in person to the conference. The auction is open beginning the first day of the conference, and closes before or during the banquet. Auction items may be paid for and picked up on the final day of the conference.
